Nika Melia, leader of the Coalition for Change, has emphasized the need for Georgia’s international partners to translate supportive statements into decisive actions against what he describes as the “Ivanishvili regime”, in reference to the Georgian Dream Government.
Speaking during the European Parliament delegation’s visit to Georgia, Melia outlined a strategy to pressure the regime through international isolation and opposition unity amid protests against delayed EU integration.

“The current situation forces even our best partners to translate resolutions, stated positions, and other types of supportive statements into concrete steps. Let us realize the extremely difficult situation that has arisen – international isolation for the Ivanishvili regime,” Melia said.

He called for unanimous opposition agreement to boycott parliament, aiming to trigger an economic blockade on the regime through international measures. “This is the status quo that the regime cannot withstand,” he added.

The European Parliament delegation, comprising six MEPs, has begun meetings with opposition leaders, the Georgian President, and media representatives to assess the political situation.
