Nine arrested in Georgia for their connections with criminal underworld

Georgian law enforcers have arrested nine individuals in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Rustavi and Zestafoni for their connections with criminal underworld which is punishable by seven to 15 years in prison by the country’s law.

 

The ministry said that the individuals contacted so-called Georgian criminal bosses living abroad to resolve a financial dispute between two businessmen.

 

A “criminal boss solved” the dispute through instructing one of the businessmen to pay 10,000 USD in favor of another.

 

Police have also seized weapons from the apartment of one of the suspects.
