Nine seriously injured, one killed in an explosion in Tkibuli mine

Nine workers were seriously injured and one was killed in an explosion in the Mindeli mine of Tkibuli, western Georgia earlier today. 

Local officials say that the injured workers have been transported to Tbilisi for treatment. 

The cause of the incident has not been identified so far. 

Dozens of workers have been killed in Tkibuli coal mines for years because of violation of safety regulations.
