Tsilosani dismissed speculation about the possible unification of parts of the opposition as unrealistic

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Nino Tsilosani has said that what she described as “radical” opposition groups no longer enjoy external support and are incapable of shaping political processes in Georgia.

Speaking on Imedi TV, Tsilosani claimed that foreign actors who had previously supported and financed radical groups were now focused on their own internal challenges. “They have other concerns and priorities and must defend their own countries and positions, which is why there is no longer any expectation of external assistance,” she said.

Tsilosani dismissed speculation about the possible unification of parts of the opposition as unrealistic, arguing that such efforts would have no political impact. She said opposition figures had discredited themselves to the extent that cooperation among them would not change the situation.

“Zero plus zero equals zero,” Tsilosani said, adding that politicians she described as having been “fully neutralised” could not generate any meaningful political process.
