Noble Partner international exercise, involving 2,400 servicemembers from 21 countries, ends in Georgia

The Nobel Partner international exercise, which kicked off in Georgia on August 29, involving more than 2,400 servicemembers from 21 countries, ended on Friday.
“The multinational exercises of Noble Partner are yet another consistent step toward deepening our international cooperation, in the direction of the professionalism of our troops and interoperability with NATO, ” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated at the closing ceremony.
The PM expressed gratitude to the participant nations, including the representatives of Japan and Sweden who have taken part in these drills for the first time.
“In the same vein, a special thank you to our main strategic partner, the United States of America, for organizing the exercises and contributing to their implementation. Our cooperation and partnership is strong and growing dynamically, being directed toward cementing the defense capability and resilience of our country”, Garibashvili said.
Addressing the audience, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili said that “strength is in unity”.
“Today, a war is going on in Europe and in our region, in Ukraine, and holding multinational exercises of this scale in Georgia has special importance. The countries participating in Noble Partner 2022 give us the opportunity to increase our readiness and capabilities to ensure a stable environment in the Black Sea region”, she said.
Servicemembers from Georgia, the United States, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Greece, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, Slovakia, Norway, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Poland, Japan, Lithuania-Poland-Ukraine Multinational Brigade and the Swedish Armed Forces were involved in the exercise.
