Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that the Russian military has kidnapped 200,000 Ukrainian children since the beginning of the war on February 24 of this year and transported them to Russian territory.

Zelensky told.Deutsche Welle that there were children taken from orphanages, parents and families, promising that those responsible would be held accountable.

He suggested that Ukraine would show Russia that “it is impossible to conquer the country and that the people will not surrender” and that their children “would not become the property of the occupiers.”

Zelensky added that 243 children have been killed, 446 wounded and 139 others have been missing since the start of the war.
