When questions arise on whether we have a pro-Russian government, it indicates ‘some serious problem,’ said Georgian Public Defender Nino Lomjaria on Tuesday.

Lomjaria asserted such doubts should be out of the question in a country, whose 20 percent is occupied by Russia.

“How can this question – whether we have a pro-Russian government, be arised in Georgia? As these questions arise, there must be some serious problem. For example, if we look back at human rights and the European integration process, the European Parliament issued a report yesterday and I published a human rights protection report too. When I was reading that very critical report, I also got that question. When the West tells you what you have to do and you don’t do it, whose interests are you serving? Certainly not the Georgian interests,” Lomjaria said.
