One injured in explosion in Varketili residential building, Tbilisi

One individual has been injured in an explosion in the Varketili district of Tbilisi, on the fifth floor of the residential building earlier today. 

Fire, which broke out following the explosion, was extinguished swiftly, the Georgian Emergency Service said. 

The possible reason behind the explosion is a gas leak. 

The injured individual has been hospitalised, while the police are looking into the incident.
