Opposition MP, ex-parliament speaker under the United National Movement and former member of the European Georgia opposition party, David Bakradze, has dismissed reports on his alleged joining of Lelo opposition party.   He says that he ‘closely cooperates’ with Lelo, as with a pro-western party. However, no consultations are underway for him to join the party.

Bakradze left European Georgia earlier this year due to the disagreement over the party’s future.

Lelo was created back in 2019 by a co-founder of Georgia’s TBC Bank, Mamuka Khazaradze, who faced money-laundering charges before entering politics.
