Opposition MP Khatia Dekanoidze on Tuesday emphasised the contrast between the European Union and the current Georgian government and stressed the EU embodied prosperity and peace, whereas the government was synonymous with violence and chaos.

“Our people understand exactly that the European Union is prosperity and peace, while Ivanishvili and the government are associated with violence and chaos,” Dekanoidze said.

She pointed out the role of the European Union in financing infrastructure projects across Georgia. “Practically all infrastructure projects are financed by the European Union, including roads, water pipelines, and agricultural equipment. Therefore, I believe our people can easily distinguish between lies and truth, recognizing that the European Union brings welfare and peace, while Ivanishvili and the government bring violence and chaos,” Dekanoidze explained.

The Director General of the European Commission this week highlighted the substantial financial support provided to Georgia and noted that the EU had allocated ten times more money to Georgian ministries compared to civil society, distributing these funds across various governmental departments.
