Tina Bokuchava, an opposition MP from the United National Movement, on Tuesday asserted that Georgia’s international partners were well-informed about the “large-scale terror being orchestrated by the current regime”, in reference to the Georgian Dream authorities.
“Georgia’s international partners and their representatives in Tbilisi are fully aware of the extensive terror activities carried out by Ivanishvili’s government against Georgian citizens, opposition parties, civil activists, and peaceful demonstrators. Recently, they witnessed firsthand the attack on the office of the United National Movement, which resulted in specific injuries. This incident has raised significant concern among Georgia’s international allies,” stated Bokuchava.Bokuchava emphasized the importance of international dialogue on imposing individual sanctions against those “undermining Georgian democracy and attempting to derail the country’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations”.
The central office of the United National Movement recently hosted a meeting between party chairman Levan Khabeishvili, party members, and representatives from EU member states and the US embassies. The primary focus of the discussion was the recent attack on their office.
