The United National Movement opposition says that Tbilisi City Hall carries responsibility for the recent tragic incident, when three minors were electrocuted in central Vake Park, which opened to the public on Wednesday after renovation.

Irakli Nadiradze, from the party, said that Tbilisi City Hall accepted the park after the contractor company completed renovation work.

“It is a fact that this facility was opened yesterday in a hasty manner, it was declared open, it is a fact that the City Hall had signed the act of acceptance. It will appear very soon, and I think that Tbilisi City Hall will have to answer for it”, Nadiradze said.

One minor, injured in the incident, died earlier today, while the condition of the second minor is critical. The condition of the third minor is satisfactory, as doctors said.

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said that Greenservive was a key contractor in the project and that the fountain was checked.
