Georgian civil activist Davit Katsarava reports that Ossetian separatist Kazbeg Timov, who was involved in the torture of Georgian hero Giorgi Antsukhelidze, has been killed in Ukraine.

“Ukrainians have eliminated Kazbeg Timov (an Ossetian separatist) – the direct executioner and murderer of Giorgi Antsukhelidze. Our brothers have avenged him on our behalf!

Glory to the heroes!

Glory to Ukraine!

Glory to Georgian and other foreign fighters in Ukraine!” Katsarava wrote.

Giorgi Antsukhelidze was a Georgian Armed Forces serviceman, a junior sergeant of the 41st Battalion of the 4th Infantry Brigade. During the 2008 Russia-Georgia war, on August 9, he was captured and tortured by Ossetian separatists before being executed.

After his death, he was posthumously awarded the title of National Hero of Georgia for his bravery and sacrifice.
