Out of 829 new cases of coronavirus, 314 were detected in Tbilisi

Out of 829 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 314 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara – 37, Imereti – 150, Kvemo Kartli – 37, Shida Kartli – 63, Guria – 43, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 95, Kakheti – 73, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 9, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 7, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 1, – Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Chief of the Operational Staff at the Interagency Coordination Council said at a briefing at the Government Administration.

"Currently, there are 4,809 active cases of infection, of which: 2,149 people are treated in hospitals, including 996 in Tbilisi hospitals, 172 in Adjara, 464 in Imereti. At this stage, 480 people are seriously ill, including 203 in Tbilisi, Adjara. – 48, in Imereti – 117. There are 127 people on artificial respiration, of which 91 in Tbilisi, 6 in Adjara, 17. In Imereti – 17,301 people are accommodated in clinical hotels, including 162 in Tbilisi, 128 in Adjara, 11 in Imereti.  2 359 people undergoe a course of virus treatment at home.

430 people are placed in quarantine areas, including 213 in Tbilisi and 119 in Adjara.

A total of 22,683 people were transferred from the state border to quarantine areas from October 6 to February 8.

"At this stage, 12,970 people are in self-isolation, including 7,685 in Tbilisi, 723 in Adjara and 1,389 in Imereti," – Berdia Sichinava said.
