Papuashvili confirms Parliament to host Presidential election this week

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili has confirmed that the Central Election Commission (CEC) will conduct the presidential election within the Parliament building on Saturday.

The election will be held by the electoral college, which has already been formed.

In his statement, Papuashvili outlined the final week of the autumn session, which will close on Friday.

He emphasized that members of parliament, as part of the electoral college, will be kept informed about the organizational aspects of the election process. The Speaker noted that communication with the CEC was ongoing to ensure the smooth execution of the election.

Papuashvili also mentioned that this week will feature the discussion of new legislative initiatives, which will be prioritized for review in the final session week of the autumn parliament session.
