Partial traffic restrictions announced on Rikoti tunnel

Traffic will experience partial restrictions in the Ricoti Tunnel from April 3 to April 5. The Roads Department announced on Tuesday temporary restrictions in the Ricoti Motor Tunnel (old tunnel) for preventive and cleaning works.

From 01:00 a.m. to 06:00 a.m. on April 3-5, traffic will be allowed in reverse on one lane of the carriageway to facilitate the maintenance activities.

During this period, motor vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers are prohibited from traveling on the Surami Junction-Zestaponi (km 132-km 200) section of the highway.

The Department emphasized that traffic management during this time will be closely supervised and coordinated by the patrol police.
