Lithuanian MP Žygimantas Pavilionis delivered a powerful message to Georgians at a Monday’s rally near the Parliament in Tbilisi, urging them to resist efforts to undermine their democracy and their aspirations to join Europe and NATO. Pavilionis emphasized the importance of fighting for freedom and highlighted that the path to EU membership requires unwavering commitment.

“Someone is trying to steal your democracy, your pursuit of Europe and NATO—don’t give up!” Pavilionis told the crowd. “There is no ‘Orbán path’ to the EU, there is no ‘Russian dream.’ You are part of the European dream—the path of Poland, Germany, and France. Freedom requires constant effort and work to join the EU. You are Europe.”
