Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday claimed “many attempts” had been observed of using Georgia “as a tool” against or for the benefit of certain foreign states, in his address at an event dedicated to the establishment of the country’s State Security Service.

“Our  motto is to protect the national interests of our country and not to serve the interests of other countries,” said, adding “Georgia will avoid geopolitical crises and current threats”.

“We strengthen the sovereignty of our country, not the sovereignty of other countries. This is very important”, the PM claimed.

He also said that “Georgia is developing at a special pace. We are one of the fastest growing economies in the world today”.
