Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze of Georgia has criticized President Salome Zourabichvili, calling her a “puppet” of the United National Movement opposition. Speaking on the air of Imedi TV,  Kobakhidze claimed  Zourabichvili had no independent role or influence.

According to Kobakhidze, Zourabichvili merely echoed the sentiments of the United National Movement. “Salome Zourabichvili has no more resources; she will repeat what she is told directly. She has not been the president of this country for a long time. She has been the president of the National Movement for a long time,” he noted.

Kobakhidze further alleged that despite a recognized violation of the Constitution, the opposition had kept Zourabichvili in office. He emphasized that the public understood Zourabichvili’s “true position” and dismissed the significance of her statements.
