Opportunities for opening an IT and Service Delivery Centre in Georgia, as well as “favourable investment climate existing in the country” have been discussed between Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili and Amy Weaver, CEO of Salesforce, the largest computer software developer, on Monday, on the sidelines of the Davos World Economic Forum, the Government of Georgia press office has reported.

Garibashvili invited Weaver to get  familiarized with the “pro-business environment in the country.”

“It was noted that Georgia is leading in a number of ratings by influential international analytic organizations and that  right policies pursued by the Government of Georgia has resulted in a quick recovery of the economy in the post-pandemic period,” said the press office.

Garibashvili also briefed Weaver that Georgia has Free Trade Agreements (FTA) with the EU, China and other countries of the region, which let Georgia gain free access to a number of “large consumer markets of the world.”

Salesforce is the largest computer software developer, which focuses on the customer relation management applications.

The company operates in the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Belgium, Finland, UK, Brazil, Mexico, Israel, China, Japan and Italy. The Head Office of the company is based in San-Francisco, California.

The same day a traditional reception was held in Davos, on the sidelines of the forum, organized by the forum’s Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab and his wife, Hilde Schwab.
