In his speech on Police Day on Tuesday, Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili said that insulting police officers, “which is common by our political opponents,” is “absolutely unacceptable.”

“I categorically condemn any attempt to insult the proud work of the police, your profession. Any such action will be punished and we will not allow any compromise,” Garibashvili stated.

Garibashvili, who previously served as the country’s Interior Minister, thanked the police officers for their “dedicated service to the homeland, for your professionalism and heroism.”
