PM Garibashvili pledges decrease in fuel prices by 20-30 tetri

Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili said on Monday that fuel importer companies “had promised” the Georgian Government to decrease prices by 20-30 tetri by the end of this month. 

 

Speaking at a Government’s meeting, Garibashvili suggested that the Government would approve the draft decree to give flats to 850 internally displaced families.

 

He also stated that the Government would subsidise the 2022 grape harvest. 

 

“In total, the subsidy will cost the Government approximately ₾150 million”, Garibashvili said. 

 

The PM said that the  profit of the Georgian Railway amounted to “record-high” ₾161million in the first six months of this year.
