PM Garibashvili: unjust, unequal war in Ukraine, challenging for whole Europe

Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili says that there is an unjust and unequal war in the heart of Europe now, in Ukraine, which is a challenge not only for Ukraine, but for the whole of Europe.

“We are well aware that fascism, which was a challenge not only for Europe but for the whole world, was defeated by our unity,” Garibashvili said on Monday at an event dedicated to Europe Day. 

“Today we also celebrate the Victory Day which marks the defeat of Nazi Germany 77 years ago. The victory was made possible through unity. Unfortunately, 77 years later, in the heart of Europe, there is an unjust and unequal war which is certainly a challenge not only for Ukraine, but for the whole of Europe,” Garibashvili said. 

He thanked EU Ambassador  Carl Hartzell for organizing the event.
