Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Sunday announced that a meeting between Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary Chair of Georgian Dream ruling party, and Robin Dunnigan, the US Ambassador to Georgia, will take place “soon”.

“This meeting will be held very soon, as agreed. I believe it will happen in the near future,” said Kobakhidze after Saturday’s general elections, in which the ruling party had secured more than 53 percent of the votes according to preliminary results.

Earlier, Ivanishvili mentioned in an interview with Imedi TV that a meeting would take place with the US ambassador following the elections.
