PM to raise country’s “peaceful policies” in address to UNGA session – Ambassador

David Bakradze, Georgia’s Ambassador to the UN, on Friday said Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili would address the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York later today and raise the “peaceful policies” of his Government to reintegrate the Russian-controlled territories. 

 

He said the messages would also include Georgia’s “successful reforms” and “economic advancement” over the years. 

 

Bakradze claimed PM’s visits with foreign leaders on the sidelines of the event had highlighted the his Government’s “successful” work to implement European Union candidacy conditions, as well as “high expectations” of the public to receive the status in December.
