Police arrest 13 for connections with criminal underworld

The Georgian Interior Ministry on Thursday said it had arrested 13 individuals for their connections with the criminal underworld. 

The body said the suspects had been charged with membership of the criminal underworld, addressing criminal authorities to resolve certain disputes and support the criminal underworld. 

The crimes are punishable up to 10 years in prison

The body said the detainees had been “actively engaged” in various criminal activities.
