Georgian law enforcement officials have found a mobile phone and a letter by former Deputy Head of the National Environment Agency under the Georgian Dream government  and current President of the Economic Transformation Centre (ECT) Ramaz Gerliani.

Gerliani went missing on December 19.

Before going missing, Gerliani posted on Facebook that he was ‘ultimately abused’ by a ‘policeman’ who, ‘with the help of his relative,’ managed to break into his property and was exerting pressure on him with the use of arms.

In the letter police found in Gerliani’s office, the former official says that he could not endure more, that he is tired, tells his children that he loves them and asks pardon to God.
