Turkish citizen detained in Georgia over large-scale cocaine possession

Law enforcement officials seized approximately 150 grams of cocaine during a search of the suspect's temporary residence in Georgia

A Turkish national has been detained in Georgia on suspicion of illegally purchasing and storing a significant quantity of cocaine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has confirmed.
In a statement on Friday, the Ministry said that as a result of operational and investigative measures, officers from the Central Criminal Police Department’s Main Division for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking apprehended H.A., a citizen of the Republic of Turkey born in 1969.
Law enforcement officials seized approximately 150 grams of cocaine during a search of the suspect's temporary residence in Georgia. The drugs were found in six separate packages and are being held as evidence.
If convicted, the accused faces a sentence ranging from 20 years to life imprisonment.
