Tbilisi police have arrested an Iranian national, born in 2002, on charges of drug possession and facilitating illegal drug sales.

Officers from the Didube-Chugureti Main Division seized 183 individually packaged units of narcotics during a search of the suspect’s temporary residence, based on operational information.

Authorities also confiscated materials used for packaging the drugs.

The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260 and 260.4 of the Criminal Code, which carry penalties of up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
