Police also seized materials allegedly used for packaging narcotics, along with cash

Police in Tbilisi have arrested a Russian citizen on charges of illegally purchasing, possessing and facilitating the sale of particularly large quantities of narcotics, the Interior Ministry said on Wednesday.

Officers from the Gldani-Nadzaladevi division of the Tbilisi Police Department searched the suspect’s temporary residence in the capital and seized especially large quantities of drugs, police said.

The substances confiscated reportedly included cocaine and methadone.

Police also seized materials allegedly used for packaging narcotics, along with cash.

The offences are punishable by up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
