Georgia and Kazakhstan police academies sign cooperation memorandum

The Rector of the Public Safety and Police Academy of Georgia, Sopho Abulashvili, hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan during an official visit.
As part of the visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Georgian Police Academy and the Management Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan. The agreement aims to promote joint educational initiatives and the exchange of professional experience.
The memorandum was signed by Rector Abulashvili and the head of the Kazakh Interior Ministry’s Management Academy, Zhanat Dilbarkhanova.
Prior to the signing ceremony, the sides held a meeting attended by Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Giorgi Sakhokia, representatives of the ministry and the Police Academy, as well as members of the Kazakh delegation. Discussions focused on developments within the policing system, ongoing reforms, and prospects for strengthening cooperation.
During the visit, members of the Kazakh delegation toured the academy’s infrastructure, including the examination centre, police training simulation facilities, a mock border crossing point, indoor and outdoor shooting ranges, and other educational spaces.
