Death toll rises to 12 after Russian attack in Poltava

The death toll from the Russian missile attack in Poltava has risen to 12, including two children, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The latest reports indicate that following yesterday’s attack, 17 people have been injured, four of whom are children.

“22 individuals have been rescued,” the emergency services stated.

Rescue operations are still ongoing at the scene, as authorities work to manage the aftermath of the assault.

On the morning of February 1, Russian forces targeted Ukrainian cities, including Poltava, with missile and drone strikes, highlighting the ongoing violence in the region.
