Pope ready to mediate meeting between Zelensky and Putin – cardinal

Pope Francis does not know anything about plans to hold a meeting in the Vatican between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, he is willing to mediate in the meeting.
La Reppublica writes about this with reference to the Vatican diplomat, Cardinal Leonardo Sandri.
It is noted that the Vatican Congregation does not know anything about the preparation of such a meeting, but believes that the mediation of the Holy See can still take place after the work of the Minsk group.
According to Sandri, Pope Francis could attend the meeting to promote reconciliation.
