The President Salome Zourabichvili’s office on Monday announced her meetings with Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian counterparts to “facilitate” Georgia’s obtaining the European Union membership candidates status later this year.

The first meeting will be held in Tallinn on Monday, followed by subsequent trips to Latvia on Tuesday and Lithuania on Wednesday.

The ruling Georgian Dream party earlier this month sued Zourabichvili for her  “unauthorized”  EU trip, accusing her of violating the country’s constitution.

The constitutional court has been scheduled to present its conclusion – whether Zourabichvili violated the country’s main law through her visits without the Government’s consent – in a month-time.
