The Government of Georgia on Thursday said the President had not requested the French trip, following her claims she would visit the country later during the day for a peace forum.

“As for me personally, I will do what I have been doing so far and I will continue to lobby for Georgia’s candidacy. Tomorrow I will go to Paris, where the Peace Forum is being held. I must participate with Charles Michel in the panel that discusses crises and conflicts,” Zourabcihvili said on Wednesday.

Zourabichvili last month faced impeachment procedures for her unauthorized foreign trips, but the ruling party failed to dismiss her due to the lack of votes.
