During the days of national mourning throughout the country, as well as on the buildings of diplomatic and consular offices abroad, the state flags of Kyrgyzstan will be lowered.
Cultural institutions and TV and radio companies were asked to cancel entertainment events and programs. The Government of Kyrgyzstan, together with local self-government bodies, is to take the necessary measures to provide assistance to the families of the victims and the injured.
The Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border periodically becomes a conflict zone between the local population or border guards of the two countries. The main reason is undivided sections, where it is impossible to determine where the border between states lies. According to the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, the common border with Tajikistan is 972 km, of which 519 km have been agreed, 375 km remain uncoordinated.
