Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili has called for the teaching of Mingrelian and Svan languages in schools on April 14, marking the Georgian Language Day.

 

Zourabichvili highlighted the importance of preserving languages spoken in Georgia, saying they were ‘an integral part of our culture.’

 

The Georgian president further expressed her solidarity with the people of Ukraine, commending their efforts to preserve their homeland and language.
