Prime Minister of Georgia: They are trying to bring destabilization and war in our nurtured and calmed country. We will be uncompromised and will use all leverages at hand to leave no case without a follow-up

Every single day since 2012, not only within our country, but beyond it as well we had to tackle this narrative, false and fake news about the alleged Russian government of pro-Russian oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili and so on and so forth. If this “pro-Russian oligarch” did so many great things to build this country and spent 3 billion, bringing real benefits of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement on the path of European integration with a visa-free travel arrangement and free trade, when I was fortunate to sign the EU Membership application last year – thanks to everyone and the team – leading to the granting of the European Perspective, if Saakashvili were in power we would not have had anything and might have stopped existing altogether as a sovereign state. You may recall that Saakashvili aspired towards long-term governance and had thousands of ideas – sometimes craving Singaporeisation, by distancing us from Europe as days passed. I cannot recall the protest of these people back then. Did they not understand the significance of the idea of Europe? Not a single soul! Why?!” It was stated by Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia today.

 

The Head of Government of Georgia noted that he speaks with facts about what the authorities did on the path of European integration, in contrast with the UNM.

 

 “Now, Gvaramia, who is labeled as a media manager, served as a prosecutor, who seized your television – Imedi TV. That is why, my dear friends and citizens, we need less emotions today. It is a very challenging time and I guess we do not yet understand where we are. People fail to conceptualise where we are and look at what is happening in Ukraine. Its 20% is already occupied. 20%! They say that the current loss incurred by Ukraine ranges from 800 billion to 1 trillion USD. How much is the GDP in Ukraine? It used to be 200 BLN. Current losses are already reaching at least 800 BLN. What will recharge this country? Current emigration of Ukraine is 20 million people. This is a tragedy. Horrible things are happening in Ukraine. These people, who know this all, try to destabilize and instigate war in our nurtured, peaceful country. We will be uncompromising and use every leverage at hand to leave no action of these people without a follow-up. We tell them to stay away from being manipulated and items of use in the hands of someone’s political parties. You are being used. I am addressing our students: you are being used by these political losers, bankrupt people. You are deceived by those who claim that the Georgian Dream does not follow a European path. I brought you facts. Let the UNM bring facts. They are representatives of the fascist organization. What did they do on their European path? Nothing! They did not start work on visa-liberalization. They deferred the process for 3 years. We started it.  They dropped the association process. Thus, a myth that they created is fake. I saw family members of a lot of people known to me at the rally. Many of them called me up and apologized. They genuinely thought something wrong was happening. Humans have wit and that is how we differ from animals. We have brains to think. We should be able to analyse and distinguish black from white. If we fail to do this, we should not claim that we want to create a strong state.
