The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has filed a motion with the court to impose a preventive measure against Mamuka Khazaradze, according to Irakli Kupradze, a leader of Lelo-Strong Georgia.

Kupradze announced on social media that a hearing at Tbilisi City Court is scheduled for April 2 at 13:00, presided over by Judge Arsen Kalatozishvili.

“Ivanishvili’s regime is wasting no time! After today’s charges, the prosecution has already requested a preventive measure against Mamuka Khazaradze,” Kupradze wrote on Facebook, adding: “Not a single step back!”

Earlier on April 1, the Prosecutor’s Office officially charged Khazaradze for failing to comply with the lawful request of a parliamentary investigative commission to appear for questioning. He faces charges under Article 349 of Georgia’s Criminal Code.
