Prominent anchor Nanuka Zhorzholiani leaves Mtavari Arkhi

Nanuka Zhorzholiani, a well-known television host and producer, has announced her departure from Mtavari Arkhi via a statement on her Facebook page.

“I confirm that I have left the TV channel. I won’t elaborate on how much I love this station, where I’ve poured my time, energy, and affection, nor the heroic colleagues I’ve worked with. This decision is unrelated to the ownership disputes within the channel,” Zhorzholiani wrote.

She clarified that her name being floated as a potential director by co-owner Giorgi Okuashvili—news she learned of via Facebook—was not connected to her departure.

“I have not been an employee of the channel for two years; I have been providing content externally. I had other reasons for leaving, but this is not the time to discuss them. Our focus should remain on what’s happening on Rustaveli Avenue. All attention and energy should go toward that,” she stated.

Zhorzholiani hinted at her future plans, revealing negotiations with TV Pirveli and Formula for a new season of her show.
