Public transport in all big cities of Georgia resume operations

Starting today public transport in all big cities of Georgia has resumed operations.  

 

The restriction was imposed on August 14 to curb the spread of coronavirus.  

 

Wearing of face masks while in the public transport, as well as in all open or closed facilities remain in force.  

 

Large events are still prohibited in the country.  

 

More than 1.4 million individuals in the 3.7 million country have received their one dose of the vaccine, while more than 593,000 have been completely vaccinated.  

 

This means that more than 20 percent of the country’s adult population has been fully vaccinated.  

 

The government has plans to vaccinate 60 percent of Georgia’s adult population by the end of the year.
