Officers from the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department have arrested a previously convicted individual on charges of illegally purchasing and possessing a particularly large quantity of narcotics, as well as facilitating their distribution, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.
The ministry said law enforcement officers seized quantities of the narcotic substance methadone that had allegedly been prepared for sale during a personal search of the suspect and from several other locations.
Police also confiscated materials allegedly used for packaging narcotics, along with cash believed to have been obtained through drug sales.
