Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has congratulated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and the Georgian people on the occasion of Georgia’s Independence Day.

In his message, Erdoğan wished prosperity to Georgia and described the country as a neighbouring and friendly state.

The Turkish president recalled Kobakhidze’s visit to the Antalya Diplomacy Forum last month, where the two sides discussed further deepening the strategic partnership, close friendship and cooperation between Turkey and Georgia.

Erdoğan said stronger bilateral ties would serve the interests of both nations, as well as regional stability and prosperity.

He also wished Kobakhidze good health and happiness, and extended his best wishes to the Georgian people.
