Republican Party chair Samnidze says two attacked her, David Berdzenishvili in central Tbilisi

Khatuna Samnidze, chairwoman of the Republican Party, said on Monday that two individuals attacked her and a fellow member of the party David Berdzenishvili on central Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, verbally and physically abusing them.

“The men told us that we would not be able to walk there without a guard,” Samnidze suggested.

She noted that the individuals were standing in front of Kashveti church and later they were detained by police for the incident.
