Georgian rescuers are searching two foreign alpinists on Ushba, one of the most notable peaks of the Caucasus mountains, located in the Svaneti region of western Georgia.

Per preliminary reports the alpinists went missing several days ago and they are allegedly Moldavian citizens.

Helicopter has not been used in the search operation due to poor meteorological conditions.
