Research: only 1.7% Georgians willing to leave country in case of Russian invasion

IPM Research has carried out a poll, suggesting that only 1.7% of Georgians are willing to flee the country in case of the Russian invasion.

Overall, 42.7% of the respondents said if Russia attacked Georgia, they would stay in the country and fight to defend it, while 16.7% said they would take part in voluntary work, including medical and psychosocial support.

In addition, 3% of the interviewees noted they would attend the anti-war demonstrations, and 11.2% maintained they would do ‘anything that would be necessary for the country.’
