Restrictions imposed on Georgian roads due to heavy snowfall

Restrictions have been imposed on certain Georgian roads due to heavy snowfall, avalanche threats and ice on them.

 

All types of vehicles are prohibited on the Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri km 43-km45 (Nakerala Pass) section of domestic importance.

 

Due to snow and ice, all types of vehicles are prohibited on the Koda-Partskhisi-Manglisi-Tsalka-Ninotsminda road km94-km110 (Paravani Pass).

 

Movement of trailers, semi-trailers and buses with a capacity of more than 30 seats is prohibited on the km1-km93 section of the same road, while the movement of other types of vehicles is free.

 

Due to heavy snow and low temperatures, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers on the Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiatura-Zestaponi section km1-km52 of domestic importance is prohibited, while the movement of other types of vehicles is free. Traffic is free on the rest of the road.

 

Due to ice on the road, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers is prohibited on the Sachkhere-Oni highway, while the movement of other types of vehicles is free.

 

Due to ice on the road, the movement of trailers, semi-trailers and buses with a capacity of more than 30 seats is prohibited on the Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili section of the km 70-km186 (Khaishi-Ushguli) highway of domestic importance.

 

 On the km138-km186 (Mestia-Ushguli) section, cars are allowed using anti-skid chains. The movement of off-road vehicles (with two or more driveways) is free. Traffic is free on km1-km70 (Zugdidi-Khaishi) section of the highway.
