US President Donald Trump’s approval rating among Americans has dropped to its lowest level since his return to the White House, Reuters poll has said.
The survey indicated that a majority of Americans believe Trump’s immigration policies have “gone too far.” Only 39% of respondents said they approve of his actions on immigration, while 53% disapprove.
The poll also found that about 58% of Americans think US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents “went too far” in their enforcement efforts, 12% disagreed, and 26% said the agents’ actions were “about right.”
Reuters said the latest poll, conducted online from 12 to 13 January with 1,139 adult Americans nationwide, shows Trump’s overall approval rating fell from 41% to 38%, marking the lowest point of his current term. The survey has a margin of error of approximately 3%.
