Ukraine’s General Staff: Russian losses surpass 1.1 million troops

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Saturday that as of October 4, Russia had lost approximately 1,114,380 troops - killed and wounded - an increase of 950 in the past day.

Estimated total Russian equipment losses between February 24, 2022, and October 4, 2025, are as follows:

• Tanks – 11,226 (+1)

• Armored vehicles – 23,298 (+1)

• Artillery systems – 33,428 (+15)

• Multiple launch rocket systems – 1,515 (+1)

• Air defense systems – 1,222 (+0)

• Aircraft – 427 (+0)

• Helicopters – 346 (+0)

• Operational-tactical UAVs – 66,543 (+450)

• Cruise missiles – 3,803 (+10)

• Boats/ships – 28 (+0)

• Submarines – 1 (+0)

• Vehicles and fuel tanks – 63,398 (+73)

• Special equipment – 3,971 (+0)
