Ukraine’s Armed Forces have released new data on Russia’s estimated combat losses since the full-scale invasion began on 24 February 2022.
According to the General Staff, as of 8 December, Russia has lost approximately 1,181,680 troops - including both those killed and wounded - an increase of 810 over the past 24 hours.
The updated figures for Russia’s cumulative military equipment losses are as follows:
Tanks: 11,403 (+2)
Armoured fighting vehicles: 23,689 (+1)
Artillery systems: 34,917 (+10)
Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,562 (+0)
Air defence systems: 1,253 (+0)
Aircraft: 431 (+0)
Helicopters: 347 (+0)
Operational-tactical UAVs: 88,457 (+530)
Cruise missiles: 4,058 (+4)
Light speedboats/ships: 28 (+0)
Submarines: 1 (+0)
Vehicles and fuel tanks: 69,182 (+47)
